THE COMMISION MODEL IN PORTUGAL:

ESCOLA SUPERIOR DE EDUCAÇÃO DE PAULA FRASSINETTI

THE "CITY OF AMARES" COMMISSION

THE COMMISSION: The promotion of two municipal Environmental Centres in the city of Amares

AGE GROUP: 21-25 (Trainee teachers at university)

WE WERE COMMISSIONED by the Councillor for Environmental Issues in the city of Amares, who wanted to promote two Municipal Environmental Centres, and raise awareness of "recycling" among students and the wider populations.

TASKS

The students were asked: What answer will you give to the Councillor? They decided to visit the centres, to get to know the project better.

They then considered: What is the best way to respond to this commission? They chose to make promotional videos.

They then assessed what help they needed. They learned about: recycling; plastic waste; abandonment of dogs and cats; legal use of images and music; video production; making decisions, defending ideas; adapting the message to the target audience.
