Museum of Myths and Legends: The Cherokees

In this project, pupils were asked to imagine that they were a team of people running 'The Museum of Myths and Legends.' They looked at myths from other countries, as well as local myths and legends in the Midlands. Finally, they were introduced to the myths of the Cherokee nation; and prepared an exhibition for their 'museum.'

The images in the gallery (above) show some of the work produced by pupils at New Invention School, Walsall.

The project was devised in collaboration with Dorothy Heathcote (who created the 'Mantle of the Expert' system).

The project was funded with a grant from Awards for All (National Lottery Community Fund).
